I mean, seriously, how rude!!

To Kwaz, and others like him:

I don't beleive I am honestly dignifying your comment with a response, but apparently you could do with a little education.

I do not "announce my sexual orientation to the world" and I'm not bi just to get attention.

I am a responsible woman in my 30's. I am educated, intelligent, and a full-fledged member of adulthood. I am also attracted to both men and women.

After a string of abusive relationships, I find that there are certain things I value in a partner, such as trust, respect, communication, and kindness. It doesn't matter to me whether I find these things with a man or a woman. I just want to have a happy, loving relationship.

I don't sleep around, I am loyal, and as a matter of fact, I have been completely single for four years. I am making myself the best person I can be and waiting patiently to find the right person with whom I can share my life.

I just happen to find it very frustrating that men, as a whole, aren't mature enough to handle the concept of a monogamous, loyal bisexual woman.

Because it is a major misconception about bisexuality.

People assume the following about bisexuals:

1. Bisexuals have to date both sexes at the same time.
2. Bisexuals are highly promiscuous.
3. Bisexuals are unstable in a relationship.
4. Bisexuals are in transition.
5. Bisexuals can't make their minds up.
6. Bisexuals carry STDs.

None of the above truly represents bisexuality as a whole.

One way of counteracting the "threesomes" statement is to explain that bisexuality is a sexual orientation in its own right, and it doesn't constitute a fetish or sexual turn-on.

It is common knowledge that straight men have a double standard about woman on woman sex vs. man on man sex. Why is one gay and the other not? Besides, it is the most common fantasy among straight men known since the beginning of time. Plus, men are geared to look for any opportunity to have extra sex and/ or feel like a porn star.

Because they're MEN, sweetie. It's rude as hell, and I agree with you. Next time a brother(of any color)assume that you wanna have a threesome, tell him yes, but ask him can you bring YOUR male friend...that'll teach 'em!

because he's male. most men have sex on the brain and hearing that a girl is bi, he figures he won't have a hard time convincing her to be with a woman too.

People hear what they want to hear. It is myth that lesbians want a 3some with a guy. He is acting on a stereotype that society has. Patiently and firmly correct him.

Why do you have to announce your sexual orientation to the world? Who cares! You just want attention, so say something worthwhile.

Its not rude....... its logical.
If you're someone who can appreciate both sexes, the next reasonable conclusion is you'd like to have them both. Both, at once, is a threesome.

Stop being offended at the obvious. Just tell them you dont.
