I looked at pictures of puerto ricans and they all look part black to me. Their facial features scream black.

Yes, Puerto Ricans are black, Americans are black, Colombians are black, etc. I think people define themselves by what country they are from, and what language they speak. The world is racially mixed, which believe it or not is healthy for the human race.

Your education system is good, but your citizens cannot learn. America has the lowest literacy rate in the free world.

In other words, ya dumb!!

They should have taught you that slavery did not bypass Puerto Rico.

Also you should have learned by this time, that Puerto Rican is a nationality not a race. There are 3 races, but many nationalities.

Take a trip outside this country sometime or pick up a georgraphy book and look at the pictures if you can't read.

My roomate is puerto-rican I don't know if they even dispute this.

When Columbus arrived in Hispaniola there were Arawaks Caribs and Borinquens living in the islands. Within 60 years, practically all of them were dead. Puerto ricans and dominican and the like are simply mulattoes quadroons and octaroons there is a little mestizo in there, but they are mostly just a mix of black and white.

Please believe it.

Duh! I think everyone knows that "some" Puerto Ricans have African ancestry, and they don't seem to deny it. However, the average Puerto Rican probably has more European ancestry than African ancestry. And don't forget that a small amount of Puerto Ricans have Taíno Indian in them also. (There's more important things going on in the world other than someones ancestry.)

Sweetie.....everyone of us is part something or other. Trying to tell just by looking at someone "what they are" is just plain racist. We are all ONE race anyway.....the Human Race. Until we stop looking for the differences in everybody and start focusing on the similarities we all share, racism will be alive and well. And we now live in an era when that attitude should be totally archaic!

We are puerto ricans. Skin color varies in cultures! There isn't just black and white. Hispanics come as white as Christina Aguilera and as dark as Sammy Sosa! Stop being so ignorant!
