During my teens in the baggy stone roses era, I spent most of my late teens in baggy t shirts and jeans, now im old and a little more "cuddly" I wish id flaunted it a bit more when I had it!!

I found a photo of myself recently that was taken at a dance in the mid-eighties. I was wearing a cream satin blouse with shoulder pads that would put Joan Collins to shame. They were enormous. I probably thought I looked fantastic.

Trusting my hairdresser - biggest fashion disaster to date. But I'm reminded about a time when I was sort-of seeing this guy and we agreed to meet up at a club one night. I got there before him and when he eventually showed up, he was wearing this purple and white verticle-stripe shirt. No doubt it was a very expensive shirt but that didn't stop him from looking like a CIRCUS TENT!!!

When I was at high school I used to go around with these hideous knee high platform boots on - must have looked like a right tramp! I cringe now when I see young kids going to school dressed like I did. Ahh well you live and learn! And I suppose we all go through these phases lol
And how could I forget - the infamous perm. why did we all get one? they were awful lol

In the 80's I had a cerise pink satin dress jacket with huge sholder pads, I thought it looked great with a black skirt, white blouse and cerise 4" stilletoe heels. I cringe when I think of it now, what a mess I must have looked. :-)

When I was 13 we went on holiday to Butlins. I wore a pair of white trousers and a red jacket on the way there. When we arrived people kept looking, as if to say, "they get youger looking every year".

The 'bowl' haircut. Acid washed jeans always looked weird to me, but the Body Glove tee-shirts were crucial.

When I go out on my bike I look a **** in all the lycra gear, but I wear it for practical reasons. Aside from that, I look great in anything.
