On Chrysler products, there are 3 nylon bushings on the bar that joins the wiper arms together, and the arm the connects to that bar. The bushing on the passenger side wiper arm has become brittle with age and has broken enough for the little shaft to fall out. You can get replacement wiper arm bushings at most auto parts stores. To replace them, you have to remove the vented plate in front of the windshield, then remove and replace them. On alot of the newer Chrysler cars, the wiper arm is held onto the shaft with a nut. Check that part, too.

It may only be loose.
At the end where the wiper arm mounts to the shaft going into the car is a cover that hides the mounting stud.
The black cover should pry up to access the nut that holds the wiper arm on.
There is going to be quite a bit of spring tension on the wiper arm.
If you're lucky you'll be able to lift the wiper blade all the way up until it "locks in" to the lifted possitiongive a bit of a jiggle and pull up on it..
It should come off fairly easily.
Or the nut holding it on has come loose.
THEY ARE REMOVABLE.
Good luck.

I've had this happen a couple of times on my car. Don't panic yet. Check the nut holing the wiper on at the bottom of the wiper arm. Chances are that this has come loose.

Some times the bolt that keeps the wiper tight to the pin that moves it back and forth gets loose and causes the wiper to not move. You can get to it through a piece of molding on your car near the window and take a ratchet to the bolt and make sure it's tight.

There is a set screw that attachs the wiper to the drive arm down where it moves, this screw is probably loose. You can tighten it and should work fine. Good luck

It has just come loose - all you need to do is tighten the wiper fitting to the driving mechanism it connects to - no need for a mechanic - have fun
