What satisfaction do people replying here get when they give stupid answers? Are they bored or just truly stupid? Some people really try to give good answers and I am sure they are always appreciated but where do these stupid ones come from and what motivates them?

Stupid answers come from Stupid people. It's as simple as that.
I agree with you 100% there are too many Morons allowed free.
In reality some of the people that answer and ask questions on here should not be allowed to walk the streets. For there own protection and the safety of the rest of us they should be locked up.
With that being said, I don't mind a little "joke" answer once in a while. But to those with the "Joke" Question please remember there is a JOKE category.

Its probably a way to get out some aggression or maybe just a poor sense of humor. Must agree that some folks on here don't seem overly bright however in the question or answer phase.

The stupid answers are just as frustrating as the stupid questions. Unfortunately, there is no way to expel the moronic or curb the idiots. All we can do is take a deep breath and learn to live with it.

Maybe they're supremely bored in life and have nothing better to do than sound-off for a measly 2 points. I would never do that, unless the Q? was begging for it.
I'm only here to entertain myself whilst I wait for articles to download for my assignment work. I used to get frustrated with the wait, but now I can have some fun in the interim.

boredom mainly and the other thing could be that all answers get points! so that motivates some people to reply even if the content does not match the Ques.....

Not only are some answers stupid they are so wrong they could do harm if used and some are insulting. I guess any public forum gets the nuts. and jokers.

I don't know either, but I think it's the points awarded for every answer what's motivating them.
Personally I think they would have to be somehow not allowed... Or the point not awarded for such answers...

People are idiots- they think they're being cute I guess. I try to give answers that I hope will be helpful but not everyone does.
