stop spending your money then! you're going to have do some creeping around friends and family, offer to do jobs for them, but ask them for only a little cash reward, tell them what it's for,and be nice, they might give you more than you expect. The other thing is, when you get given any money, give it your mom or someone who won't spend it as soon as she goes out! this is a good lesson on having to go without something (£40 shopping trips) in order to get something that you really want (i Pod). a good time for a 13 year old should be free! gee I sound like a parent or something! good luck anyway

Why not get a paper round or something similar, you won't be able to get a proper job as an assistant until your 14, then you might be able to get a job in a hairdressers as a sat girl. Other ways of making money are to ask your neighbours if they have any odd jobs you can help them with like washing their car.
A quick way to earn instant cash is probably all in your bedroom, why don't you have a clear out and anything that doesn't fit you or you don't play with or use anymore put in bin bags, show your parents and ask them if they would mind you selling it on a car boot sale, tell them what you plan to buy and I think they will be really proud of you for sacraficing some of your own things instead of sponging off them. Please don't sell anything untill you have asked your parents.
Good luck

Start a business...

Wash cars, clean homes for busy moms, babysit, help people grocery shop, something like that. It doesn't have to take a lot of time but it will make you money and get you a start thinking about where your money comes from and where it goes.

P.S. Don't buy the iPod... try a sandisk or something that will let you use digital music from more than one source. and they don't cost as much. Maybe 100 or less.

Try getting a paper round or delivering free papers.Maybe one of your local shops will give you a few hours work a week.
