I have read the book and seen the movie.
The author said that some things are true, like the places and paintings, but his prospective of the holy grail was his own interpretation.

No. Its a fiction novel. It may be based on some facts but I still do not believe in The Da Vinci Code.

Whether or not I believe the book is irrelevant. It all makes so much sense and it was not the first time I've heard some of the theories. Even if the basic idea is true - which I think it is, it does not matter - it does not change my belief that God or Jesus exists. Even if Jesus was conceived as a human, he still could have accepted God whole heartedly and lived as without sin as the "adopted" son of God. Nobody else could ever have done that. Still makes him great - bloodline or not...

The story is FICTION. "Fiction" means something that is made up....not true. The Da Vinci Code is FICTION.

I dont completely belive it but i dont refute it either. just because you dont have proof doesnt mean that its not true; after all belief/ faith isnt law where u cant go anywhere without hard core proof.
