Would it lower aids rate, improve the economy if it was taxed, or even lower violent acts against broads?

I think it should be legal because it's an act between 2 consensual adults but your government thinks they should protect you. I can't see it ever happening country-wide.

I tend to think legislated morality has been a large part of why problems exist in this world continue to be problems.

As long as their has been a mode of exchange there have been ways to get loaded, and ways to get laided for a price.

I personally think as long as one persons behavior doesn't infringe on another persons life, liberty or property then government should be in the business of arresting people for that behavior.

Our prison population has grown exponentially as the result of the war on drugs.. It's time to see it as a failed proposition as was prohibition in the 1920s..

Sadly people truly fail to look at history as we move ever forward in our future and mistakes tend to repeat themselves.

"The drug war" is a prime example of government that has been a self building self fullfilling entity because of prohibitions and morality against things that some critics view as evil.

In my opinion we need to decriminalize prostitution and drug use. If we do this we change the economy substantially. Money currently channeled into enforcement and corrections could go back into the economy. Set up taxation structures for legitimate brothels and "drug stores" so revenue from this stream could be placed into the tax system to provide treatment for STDs and addiction. Currently the mechanisms to provide these services are sorely lacking..

People who use whores and drugs will continue to do so, they should be contributing to the tax base rather then the underground economy.

As long as people like you continue to call them "broads" there wil be problems.

But to answer your question, Yes, Legalized Prostitution SHOULD lower these societal problems.

There will always be prostitution. Legalizing it and allowing prostitues seek a legitimate and safer work environment would benefit the women, society, and the economy.

Sorry but it won't, I come from a country where it is legal, and all the horrible stuff still hang around in the air.

Really? Should we legalise something because, although it might be immoral, it attracts other immoral and illegal behaviour?
