Good question when you think about it. Wayne Rooney, a forward for Man U and England, possesses a ton of skills. First, look at his frame. He's not the tallest guy in the world, but he's very robust and wide with very stocky shoulders. That allows him to be able to fight for the ball at any time. Kind of looks like a bulldog.
Next, Rooney has a piledriver for a shot. I'm not too sure as to how fast he makes the ball fly, but if you look him up on youtube, you'd see what I mean.
Rooney can also draw a lot of the other defenders towards him, making space for his own teammates.
Rooney is also an excellent ballhandler and not too bad at making tackles.

I'm in the minority that happen to think Wayne Rooney has lots of untapped potential. He is 20 and will mature as a person and player in the next 4 years leading to 2010. He is quick, he is strong and I'd sure hate to be in front of a ball struck by Rooney, there is a ton of speed and power in his kick. Hey Maradonna thinks highly of Rooney, so I'm not going to argue with one of footballs greats...lol. He will come good and answer his critics. I'm sure as any young and talented player will find, that this WC was a valuable learning experience for Wayne. We have not seen the best of Rooney yet.

That's where you are wrong Manchester United just bought two youngsters ending the speculation Guardado might move to Manchester this summer. Both players were primarily bought to replace Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs. Guardado is still a possibility for many teams. Personally if we don't get Ribery I would like to see Guardado wearing an Arsenal uniform

Because he's young, and has a good future. He is not a defender, by the way, he is a forward. He is also quite quick and can handle the ball well. I think he is great to have on the national team.
