the regrowth shouldn't be very noticeable if at all by the time you return home other than any hairs that snap while they are being removed by the wax.
alcohol before you go its a must, get some practice in for your holiday

Brazilians are totally worth it! But there are some very important things to keep in mind.
First, make sure you go to a good salon. Ask friends where they have gone (if they have ever had it done) because you want to make sure to find an experienced waxer who will not rip holes in your skin. Improper technique can leave you with bruises, sore spots, and patches of raw skin. Most nicer salons only hire experienced waxers, but just in case you can even ask the girl who is making the appointment for you if they have had it done at the salon and if the waxer did a good job. There's just something about brazilian waxing that makes gals very eager to share their experiences, so the appointment setter will probably be very honest with you.
You can get a cream in drugstores or beauty supply stores that can help with the pain. If you choose to use this cream, follow the instructions carefully and then take a quick shower before your appointment to wash it off as the cream can make your hair too slick to adhere to the wax. I have used a cream called Lidocaine, I think, which I got at the drug store and made my appointment SOO easy and almost pain free, but it made the hairs too oily and so the results weren't as great as usual.
Take a shower at least 30 minutes before your appointment if you can. I don't think I have to explain why. (a note here: remember to tip your waxer...well. They have a pretty nasty job to do and deserve a few extra bucks).
Also take a tylenol before your appointment, although this helps more with the mild soreness you may experience after the appointment than with the actual waxing part.
As far as the pain goes, its a lot like hitting your finger with a hammer: a sharp, immediate stinging pain that goes away quickly. You forget it about 5 minutes after you're done, and a good waxer can complete the appointment in 10-15 minutes...or less if they're really good!
Now, here is the secret to surviving your waxing: proper breathing! A waxer I used to go to taught me this technique. Relax your body (as much as you can) and when the waxer applies the muslin strip (the strip of cloth laid over the wax), take a deep breath and hold it. The moment she rips the muslin off, exhale forcefully. Concentrate on exhaling and extending your exhalation through the initial sting. I don't know why, but this really works. I guess its kinda like lamaze (?) breathing when women have children.
Now, your hair grows back in cycles, so your first waxing appointment may not have the best, most lasting results, although it will be 10 fold better than no waxing at all. You should be able to follow up every four weeks, with the hair growing back in much softer and finer each time. I've been having it done regulary for about 2 years now and I don't know how I ever lived without it. Don't be suprised if the first time doesn't get all of the hairs, you may have some stragglers that need to be plucked with tweezers. You might consider getting a wax immediately and then getting another one in two weeks, a few days before you leave, to really ensure you don't have much regrowth.

Brazilian wax is a kind of bikini wax. Brazilian bikini waxes were 'each of the craze' because the overdue ninety's, yet they're honestly no longer new the U. S.. Brazilian waxing replaced into presented to ny in 1987 with the help of seven Brazilian-born sisters. So how does it fluctuate from an ordinary bikini wax? in reality, with the Brazilian, hair is bumped off interior the front, back & each thing in between. a large type of the time a 'landing strip' is left interior the front, yet some customers opt for each thing bumped off. more effective than you needed to understand????

There will be some pain, but it depends on the person doing as well as your level of tolerance. How fast it will grow back depends on how fast your hair typicall grows...some people it may start to grow back within a week, some it will take longer. I have heard recommended to take an ibuprofen an hour before having it done, and also don't have it done when you're having your period (not only is that so disgusting for the aesthetician, but more painful for you as well). Barring any rare 'complications' (i.e. too hot wax, if it is too warm for you, make sure to speak up) you will be fine and you should be pleased with the results.

normally a wax will last about 4-5 weeks. it only lasts me 2 weeks because my hair grows like crazy!

trim it to between 1/4 and 1/2 inch. otherwise it will be PAINFUL. and there is a chance the hair will break off and keep growing or cause ingrowns if you don't trim first.
have a glass of wine before you get it done. you might bleed a little (alcohol thins the blood), but the wine will make you not care.

if you go to a salon that has 'bioelements' products, there is this stuff called emergency soothing powder. it is mixed with a dab of water and applied to the area just waxed; it sooths the area IMMEDIATELY.

get a gel eyemask and put it in the freezer. apply it to the area just waxed to sooth the pain away. (take one with you and ask the waxer to put in their freezer for you untill you have been waxed)

don't forget about your armpits and toes.

Brazillian waxes take a little while to grow back, and when they do, they grow back thinner and less noticeable then how your hair down there was before. It doesn't hurt that bad, it's just a quick pain and then it's over. Maybe have a friend or sister come with you to squeeze their hand. Just don't worry about it, and when it's being waxed, think about other things. At the place I get it done, the lady who does it counts to three before she takes if off, so you're ready for it.

Brazilian waxing is a type of waxing involving the bikini area. This procedure involves the complete removal of hair from the buttocks and adjacent to the anus, perineum and vulva (labia majora and mons pubis). It can be thought of as an extreme form of bikini waxing. Most forms of Brazilian waxing leave a small line of pubic hair above the vulva. Waxes that completely remove the pubic hair are either termed 'Hollywood' or 'Sphynx' depending on the salon visited. Sometimes the term Full Bikini Wax or FBW is used.

While mainly associated with females, the practice is engaged in by males as well.

It is named for Brazil, the country in which it originated.

hurts like hell. Take a tylenol before you get it done. Also there are some creams you can buy to help with the burning. You should be okay with grow back. Usually last about 2 weeks. The next one won't hurt as bad. I do reccomend that you cut or shave really low before you go....but not low enough the wax won't stick.

A large mallet round the back of the head deadens the pain. Take a pair of Bridget Jones's for the second week.

It doesn't really hurt, just an initial ooowwww when it is ripped off! Then its fine and well worth doing. I find it usually last around 2 weeks, you can get cream to slow regrowth which is good on hol - your waxer should be able to sell you some.

Have a good time!
