you are allowed to have your own opinion. but personally i am enamored with the thought of having such a large machine that can move so fast with that much power at my fingertips. i honestly and totally in love with the idea of having a fighter jet that can turn into a moble suit. i mean when a gundam appears, everyones f*cked, its just amazing to me.

Actually, I liked the 08th MS Team. Gundam appeals to so many people because everything isn't black and white. You have two sides in conflict, both with good people doing what they think is right, and both with assholes you'd love to murder in their sleep. It develops characters so well, and lets you see how the conflicts begin. I remember in the original Gundam, Zeon soldiers planted bombs on the main characters ship, but when a couple of soldiers saw children on the bridge, they started yelling frantically for them to get away from windows, ruining the ambush. Both sides have people you care about, and you hope they find a way to resolve things. Hope this answers your question, M, and I hope you can give it another chance. Try and look past the big robots hitting each other, and look at the characters inside them.

The Gundam titles have been around for a very long time and the name itself has recognition because of this. The titles attract fans because of the range of the series (each series appeals to viewers in a different way, gaining a large and diverse fan population). It revolutionaized the mecha genre and is credited to have started the Real Robot genre that attempted to add more military and political elements than previous fantasy mecha series' did.

Gundam's are sweet I mean why take a petion on the city when I can just destroy the whole d#mn state with a giant robot of DOOM to rain DOOM on your DOOMED heads. I really mean that 20 tons of robotic steel and enough fire power for a army in a Middle Eastern country it almost brings a tear to my eye..........almost. But besides that people love it because why have destruction when you can add a giant fighting robot to the mix and get a level of carnage only seen on Gundam and some episodes of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT
