I traced my ancestry back and discovered that my dad is actually the rightfull King of Norway and Harald V, the King of Norway, is actually decended from some poopoo head who kicked my dad's ancestors out of the country and took the throne for himself.
It's a long and complicated story so I won't bore you with it but basically I want to let Harald V know the situation so he can officially make me his heir. How should I go about doing that?

I never said I was Harald's heir. I said I was the heir to the throne because my dad is the rightfull king.

As they say, the rightful king is the one on the throne. Losing one's throne (whether is be through war, revolution, or a bar bet) means it's lost - your lineage no longer has any legitimate claim on the throne. Anyhow, King Harald's is monarch because his grandfather was elected to the throne, not because of conquest.
Your best bet to reinsert your family into Norwegian aristocracy would be to wait until Princess Ingrid Alexandra is old enough and marry her

Although that is highly unlikely (unless you put all the 59 others on a plane and circled low over Afghanistan, of course) and would not be readily accepted by the citizens of either country (probably us Brits), that would be pretty nice. But do we really want to end up like Scotland? The Norwegians would be thrilled to be in union with a more populous country and still be on top. No telling what they'd do. The last time a Norwegian tried for the English throne, in 1066, it is very likely he planned to use the English manpower to conquer the rest of the British Isles and God knows what other countries. They might even try to get back all the colonies they lost in 1814! Which is probably better than trying to rebuild the British Empire, coming to think about it. Better to fight other European nations than charge into Africa, India and North America again. It was easy to build an empire when you could just sit and sip from a nice cup of tea with one hand and slaughter millions of natives with a machinegun in the other. Now the natives have machineguns as well, meaning we would have little chance overtaking for example India. We could probably snatch some African countries back , but all would hate us for it, and do we really want pieces of Africa right now?

Yep. I have similar problem w/ the British throne. Ancestors include Malcolm III of Scotland and William the Conqueror, among others. It's a Grail Thing ... so, who cares?
One thing, though, if you're from different family line ... you're not Harald's 'heir'.
Otherwise, in general, as back in the day ... raise an army, ally with other princes or the Pope, do some propaganda among the masses & minor nobility ... that sort of thing.
Try prayer! Who knows who might hear you, and what would happen?

Take the paperwork to someone who can verify it.. submit copies to all the Norwegian heads of state - or whatever they are referred to as.. even the king himself. Somehow let it get into the papers there, for the people to see for themselves.. I'm sure they know their history.
Let President Bush know, and if nothing else, it will take his mind off this countries troubles while reading about yours..
Send it on to the Kings and Queens of other countries, and there you go..
At least everyone will know your thoughts, your displeasure.. etc..

Since his family kicked your ancestors out he started a new lineage and so you cant get it back because your a family line descended from wimps who couldnt win a fight

send him a letter instead of an email so he can't erase it so easily. perfume it up a little bit, but not with cheap stuff but real essential oils. then send him a box of fair trade organic dark chocolate.
