I get my water from a well, so there's not a lot of water pressure. The sprinker type that goes "chug-chug-chug-chug" around in a circle barely works, and I want to find a better solution.

I'm watering my lawn (which is pretty big) so I realize that I'll need to move the sprinker several times.

Low Pressure Sprinkler

If you are looking to water your lawn, or a large area, those walking sprinklers work pretty well with low water pressure. They look like a tractor, and follow your hose. You can adjust them so that they go faster or slower, and also you can adjust if you want a large area or small area watered. Those these only work well if the tractor has established grass to run on. They don't work in a garden or in newly planted grass, unless you run them around the edges. They will bury themselves in mud.

If you're not worried about doing a large area at a time, those small circular and square pattern sprinklers really soak an area nicely.

HUNTER IRRIGATION makes the best low pressure heads on the market. Great coverage with as little as half a gallon a minute. Each head adjusts from o to 360 deg. you have total control over coverage and amount of flow. i have several friends on wells and i know how you have to watch things this time of year. They all swear by Hunter Heads.

Check your phone book under landscape or irrigation supply.
