I hope you're buying this item through ebay, and the seller has good feedback. My neighbor recently got ripped off from a scam and I'll tell you how they did it. There was a legitimate seller who was selling a 4-runner, the guy had an outstanding rating, etc, and someone, somehow copied his whole page and emailed a notice to my neighbor saying the top bidder had backed out, so would she like to buy it? (She had placed a bid that didn't win.) The scam artist appeared to her to be the original seller, so she contacted him, sent the money, and of course never got the 4-runner. She's been to the police many times over this to no avail. So, whatever you do, do everything through the real ebay site, Don't Deal with anyone who sends you an email. Whether you send a money order or use Pay Pal is up to you. Pay Pal is faster, and they won't let the seller know your credit card number, but my dad always sends money orders and hasn't been ripped off on anything yet. He's been buying and selling on ebay for years. Have her send it to your work or church if you're worried about giving out your home address. I wouldn't worry about that aspect of it at all, though. Good luck.

Open a paypal account to send money. Also on the shipping make sure the package is sent with a delivery confirmation number so you can track it.

Tell her to join ebay and list the item. As soon as she lists it, you buy it and pay wiht paypal ONLY. Do not send money orders, checks, and such! And confirmation number with FedEx or UPS is a great to way to track the package.

Just keep in mind that once you pay via paypal or any other way, there is no guarantee that she will ever ship. That is why there are escrow sites on the web. She has to send the merchandise to them and you have to pay to them. When they get both, they release both.

pay with paypal of course and then get it shipped through whoever is cheapest (usually UPS) but make sure it is insured and get a delivery confirmation.

Usually Pay Pal works good if you order from a company. Maybe you need to shun this deal.
