I have some friends going to Mexico in a few days, and I don't want them to get in any trouble. Any info is appriciated.

no its definetely not legal...take it from a Mexican, recently they pass a law that "allow" small amounts ( like 1 gram) to be legal but for only that are seriously addicted and have history of being drug addicts; also the other people make good point in their answers dont dare to be caught in Mexican Jails, neverless prision specially if you are a foreigner and have none to contac locally unless you like to have a mexican "burrito" up your ______!! ( you can fill the blank)

No it is not legal. The prisons in Mexico are He** holes.Have read horror stories of americans being caught and put into their horrid jails abuse physically and mentally. And its very hard for a non citizen to get out.They don't even let you contact relatives till days later. And if your a women in these jails you can imagine what happens!So tell your friends do NOT even consider weed there. Or they will regret it.

No!!!! They'll get a ticket stateside for possession, but do jail time in Mexico! Not nice cushy jails like here either. Cells they get to share with large sweaty toothless 'come here Nino' Mexicans.

I don't think its legal there, Mexican jails make American jails look like the Riviera so steer waaaay clear of pot in Mexico.
