Yes you had better see a doctor for this one. Some things require mainstream Western medical treatment and a inner ear problem needs antibiotics.
In the future, mullein seed oil dropped in the ear regularly will keep infections away.

Infection of the inner ear (labyrinthitis) is usually due to a virus and may accompany illnesses such as influenza, measles and mumps. Symptoms include severe dizziness (vertigo), nausea, vomiting, noises in the ear (tinnitus) and loss of hearing. It is usually diagnosed on the basis of the symptoms and examination. The viral infection usually improves on its own, but anti-nausea tablets or injections are essential to control the unpleasant symptoms. Recurrent symptoms can be a sign of Meniere's disease, a disorder affecting the inner ear, whose symptoms can include vertigo, tinnitus and reduced hearing. It occurs when excess fluid builds up in the balance organ of the inner ear (membranous labyrinth) and is most common in people over the age of 50 years. If symptoms are prolonged or recurrent, it is important to ask for referral to a specialist.

There are a set of exercises on one of the Web sites under 'vertigo' they involve rolling your head around in a large circle (movement from the waist) and then moving it ear to shoulder, and also forwards and back, fairly often during the day to help dislodge or release anything blocking the canals. On prescription Buccastem (?) works very well for some infections.

Not naturally, but if you have a prolonged ear infection I would go to the doctor ASAP as an ear infection can cause PERMANENT damage if not treated in a timely manner.

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and your immune system isn't working properly. You need to boost it so take echinacea capsules or liquid and Garlic capsules(odourless type) They take a while to get into the system but they do work. Antibiotics are the main cause as they damage our immune system and a poor diet also adds to it.You get these from a health store. You can also go for Ear candling.

Please if you are suffering with ear infections go to your doctor and insist that you be refered to a specialist, M y daughter suffered for years and was just given antibiotics, eventualy when she was sent to a specialist he was appalled, she ended up with major surgery, due to the infection eating the bones of the ear away, she was told that if left much longer the infection would have eaten her facial nerves away resulting in her face bieng parralised down one side, this is ireversable. please listen and go see specialist. good luck.

Well, if the conventional medicine can't help, why don't you try Hopi ear candles?
