Why won't you go to the doctors? It is the absolute best thing you can do for your unborn baby. They see young, unwed mothers all the time. Yes, you will probably get told you are too young to be having sex, and be read the riot act, but since you are pregnant now it is too late for preaching to you.

The best thing now is to go to your parents and tell them. You are having a baby now, time to start acting like the grown-up you are going to have to be. And the doctors are there to help you. YOU MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST MUST have pre-natal care. Yeah, babies can and will be born all over the world without it, but those same babies are underweight and have lots of problems after they are born. You are going to have to get over yourself because right now it's not about you, it's about that child inside of you.

If you were an adult, you could make your own decision about whether or not to seek prenatal care. Because you are a child and especially because this is your first pregnancy, you NEED to see an obstetrician.

Aside from that fact, as a 14 yr old with an 18 yr old boyfriend, you really need to be checked for STD's, which if left unchecked will cause severe harm to your baby. Do you know your blood type? All sorts of deadly effects can be caused by not knowing this and protecting yourself, your current baby and any other children you may have. What about gestational diabetes, preeclampsia or placental privia? If you don't know the risks, or what these terms mean, see a proper doctor.

Well you may have a phobia but at the same time who do you think is going to deliver that baby a doctor will and come on you could at least go to planed parent hood or something like that you need to have an ultrasound done (doesn't hurt is pretty cool) and you need to make sure the baby is growing right cause let me tell you BOTH my boys had serious problems that needed to be handled right at delivery and i had my first at 18 and my second at 22 so problems with the baby defiantly need to be addressed so you know what is going on and know what the best choice of care is

I just responded to your last question. The dad is 18 that's statutory rape!!! An 18 year old can't have sex with a 14 year old legally I think that's the main reason why you don't want to tell your parents. And this is the exact reason why 14 year old should not be having sex because they don't get that same mother instinct if you love this child that phobia that you say you have wouldn't even be an issue. Stop being so selfish and start thinking about this child that's growing inside you.

If your pregnant you should tell your parents, its not like they can do anything about it now.But if hes 18 you might not want to tell them about him, they could put him in jail because your under 16.Have fun being a mom because its no longer about you anymore, its all about the baby. The first time you go to a doctor there just going to check you for everything, and by the next visit you get to know what your having.Your parents may be really mad and emmbarassed at first but the'll get over it.Just dont give the baby up.Its not its fault what you did.I had a misscarage at 14 and I cried forever.I was so scared to tell my mom but she understood more than I thought.I never told my dad though. If you have to tell an aunt or a friends mom, just talk to someone.I have a cousin who had a baby at 13 and shes doing just fine. But you really kneed to go to a clinic or doctor.Do whats best for your child.I have 2 kids,a 16 month old and a 3 month old.I had my son when I was 16,and my dauter just after my 18 birthday.Dont listen to ppl who say give it up because you'd never forgive yourself.Do whats right.

You do need care I don't really approve of doctors for many reasons. Consider a midwife. You can find one in a birthcenter no doctors or hospitals involved as long as you stay healthy. Your midwife can take care of prenatal checkups. You will also qualify for WIC and possibly medicaid which will help pay bills because your 18 yr old isn't likely to have insurance. You need to tell some other adults. Do you have an aunt or grand mother you can talk to. Even if you call them on the phone and say "I need your help telling my parents something" or tell a friends parent whom you trust. Good luck

What will you tell yourself about your phobia when something bad happens to you or your child that could have been avoided by seeing a doctor for prenatal care? You have a responsibility to yourself and your child. The doctor won't hurt you or your child. It is very important to see a doctor to make sure everything is progressing normally and that you aren't low on iron and they will give you prenatal vitamins. At the very least, start taking a mulitvitamin everyday until you get to the doctor.

get over your phobia -
a sure sign of being ready to be a parent is if you are looking after the baby - and if you are not going to a doctor you are not really ready to be a parent - put the needs of the baby FIRST - your needs will now ALWAYS be second..

from now on you need to save money so you can buy a house and prepare to be a mom - that means no drinking no smoking no spending money on yourself, clothes etc... if you cannot provide a house with a yard for yoru child you shouldnt be having kids and what if they need braces???

perhaps you should consider putting it for adoption particularly if you are not married or financially stable - DONT KEEP BABIES SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU CAN - this is SELFISH

put the best interest of the kid first

The dad will probably go to jail for satutory rape and you will probably have you baby takin away because you are basically neglecting your unborn and not getting the medical attention you or that baby needs forget your phobia and get to the doctor..your stupid for getting knocked up at 14 anyways and maybe the baby should be taking from you and so he/she gets the proper care it needs!!! You are pathetic

get over your phobia. This isn't fair for the baby. The baby needs all the health care possible. Wouldn't you feel bad if you go into pre-term labor becuase you wouldn't go to the doctor. Are you taking pre-natel vitamins?? Start taking them. They are vital. And if he is really looking out for you he would tell you to grow up and go to the doctors. Don't be selfish
