does it matter what a person looks like, may be they have been there made the mistakes and look like they do becaus of the mistakes so are offering the advice that would see you stay away from making those same mistakes.

just my opinion.
and if the advice was lear and easy to understand and the reasoning behind that advice was good then i'd probably follow it. but you have to use common sense as with everything you do in life.

Yes, as you said, it is good advice. They probably have empathy because they have been down that road and learned from their mistakes. Looks have nothing to do with brains. Sometimes, one has to experience something before they can give advice to others. For instance, a lot of people try to give advice to others about raising children when they never had any. To me, that is not advice that is insane. You have to experience something before you can advise others. Like going to the "School of hard knocks" so to speak. Thank you for your question.

As long as the advice is good, I see no reason why can't we follow it. But of course we must follow in a smart way and not just blindly. Where necessary adjust a little to suit the situation.

If the advice is good then what should it matter what they look like. I find the best advice usually does come from someone you wouldn't expect to get the advice from.

The looks wouldn't affect my opinion, but I weigh any one's
advice w/ a grain of salt. I don't just take the advice & go off
wily-nily to follow it.
I don't like other people's advice. And I don't ask for it. So, if I
got unsolicitated advice I'd climb a wall.

Who are you to judge ? ? ? They are giving you good advice than take it. You stated that in the question the advice was good, but the didn't look "right". I'de take it and think it thru, just like any advice I got from another "right" looking person. Besides you don't know what I "look" like, but asked me for advice....RIGHT ?

It's unfortunate, but a lot of people disregard the arguments or advice of young people simply because they look young and therefore must be inexperienced.

"what do you know, you're half my age," instead of addressing the point, this response attacks the messenger. Simply because the messenger is inexperienced does not make their argument any more or less valid.

Did you say "Look like they should be giving advice?" You can learn from anyone. Looks don't mean a hill of beans.
