The lionfish would probably devour the clown and damsels, since they are predatory...and they will consume most custaceans such as shrimp as well. They usually dont bother fish that are too large for them to eat, on the contrary I've seen lionfish take beatings from triggerfish on many occasions.

The lionfish are voracious predators. When they hunting, they corner prey using their large fins and then use their lightning quick reflexes to swallow the prey whole.
While the hardiness and disease resistance of the lionfish make their care relatively simple, the venom of the spines is extremely painful, and lionfish are only recommended for the careful aquarist.
In Star Trek: The Next Generation, Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) keeps a pet lionfish named Livingston.
The James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me featured a red lionfish in Karl Stromberg's aquarium

The dwarf lions might be able to be kept with that mix - otherwise the damsels and clowns would probably end up as lionfish popcorn. The hermits they might leave alone and they would pretty much ignore the dusters and clams.

This would not be a good fit. Lionfish are very aggressive and will attack and harm your other fish. Your clowns would be the first to go if you bought this fish. It better to look for another fish. Good Luck!

There are various styles of lion fish, The dwarf zebra and fuzzy dwarf stay quite small and can desire to stay in a 30 gallon. something of them are plenty greater suitable or maybe a fifty 5 could be pushing it for a whole grown 15" volitans lion. the biggest concern you will have with the fish itself is feeding it. they're all wild caught and could in lots of cases purely settle for stay nutrition in the commencing up. And, freshwater feeders are actually not good for them because of the fact of intense fat content textile. So, you would be paying for ghost shrimp or different stay shrimp till you will get them onto frozen nutrition, and that isn't much less high priced. to establish a 30 gallon salt water tank with sump will value someplace around $500. And, in case you attempt to maintain a lion in a sparkling tank you will have an exceptionally puzzling time keeping it alive. they choose greater good circumstances and you will choose some adventure to try this, So optimistically you will locate that lion fish are actually not for beginners and saltwater ordinarily takes different wisdom money and time to ascertain. i might recommend you're taking a while and analyze and make sure you're prepared to dedicate what's could make it helpful, or you will in basic terms be dissatisfied.

There is a very high likelihood of the rest of your fish becoming lunch. Lionfish are not nice. Relatively attractive, but mean temperament, carnivorous... and poisonous.

I wouldn't put a lionfish in with that mix. They eat live fish so I would be very cautious with that. Really cool fish, though!

Try to buy one that has already been trained to eat frozen food to make you life easier. They get along well with all fish providing that they are too big to fit in it's mouth, so you may want to stick with the dwarf varieties.
