he sent court notice to my brother add in my name. Which my brother did not receive as i live out of india and now the court has issued public notice in my name to appear on in two days time.what can i do?

YOUR FATHERS DEBTS ARE NOT YOUR DEBTS. IF HE HAS ANYTHING THEY CAN SELL IT TO GET THE MONEY HE OWES.

Unless your father left an estate and you are the trustee of that estate, your father's debts cannot be charged to you. To the estate yes, and as such, your name as trustee, could be used in the law suit. In either case, I would consult an attorney, but they cannot make you pay his debts. My wife's grandmother died without an estate and the hospital was sending bills to my wife and I. I sent a letter back giving them directions to the cemetery, but advised them that I doubted she would answer back.

He can only make a claim against your father's estate. If your father left any assets, they must be used to offset his debts. If he did not, you didn't inherit your father's debts.
