if I I choose not to continue with the job seekers allowance and just do that job that was , for 8 hours a weeks and the pay is just 38.80 a week , and so low than , can I still get housing benefit and council tax benefit, or do I still need to be on the job seekers,

but the reason I dont want to be on job seekers is because its annoying and they say you have to do some type of course which I dont have time for

and my income is so low

Because when you apply for job seekers you also apply for housing benefit and council tax

You are still entitled to Job seekers as you are working under 16 hours. (JSA will just add to your wages, with reductions depending on what you are earning)
It is a pain but it is your right and you are entitled to it.

You should be entitled to means-tested benefits if you chose not to continue with JSA.

You will still be entitled to housing benefit and council tax benefit, as after you have made the applications they are treated as independent claims. But you will have to continue to sign on to prove that you dont have any change in income.
You will also have to be seen to be looking for full time work.
Have a chat with the CAB as benefits are soooo complicated as there as means-tested, non means tested, contributory, non-contributory benefits and tax credits!

(you wont be entitiled to tax credits unless you have children, or if you are single you have to work 30 hours a week)

Good luck!

You cannot work & recieve Job Seekers Allowance at the same time. A condition of JSA is that you are actively seeking working & you are declaring that you have done no paid work. When you start work you must tell JSA straight away. If you are on a low-income you may be entitled to Tax Credits, Housing Benefit & Council Tax Benefit or even Income Support. Depending on your age & how long you were on JSA for you may be entitled to back to work bonus. If you have children then you may be entitled to Child Tax Credits. If you are a carer & look after someone you may be able to get Carers Allowance & still work but there is an earnings limit. I would check out the DWP website for more info. or visit the Citizens Advice Bureau And these courses you are on about are designed to give you more skills & experiencem& qualifications which is good for you & makes you more attractive to employers

I think you have to be on Job Seekers to claim Housing Benefit and Council Tax, but you can work up to 15 hours a week and still claim some sort of benefits? Speak to the jobcentre.

I think you can still get the other benefits without JSA, and you can claim for the infamous tax credit if you're feeling adventurous.
