If you think Gibson's career is finished, you are the only one.
Have you seen Braveheart? The Patriot?? He is a terrific actor and a great director to boot. People love him and will forgive him. Happens all the time.
He has the best spin doctors money can buy! LOL!

No because no matter what he says and does he still makes great movies so no one really cares about his personal life that much. I mean people still buy Michael Jacksons cds and he molestes children.
I will still go see anything Mel makes because I think the situation was blown out of perportion and, not that he's right, but I think a lot of people are thinking those things lately.

Like he is the only actor who was ever caught drinkin & drivin and spitting hate??? Every year sooo many of them are caught drunk, cheating, stealing, beating, slandering and worse. They are regular humans constantly under the microspcope. Was there a group of cameras following you the last time you went out for a drink or called a woman a "special name" because the b!/ch deserved it?
As long as the human race has this blood thirst for scandal & controversy, he will be around.

I don't think so. Other people have said a lot worse and still have careers, plus if it is, does it matter? He's made more than enough money to sit there and thumb his nose at the world. What he said was wrong, but have you never heard a drunk idiot make rude/racial/bigoted comments before? The only difference is he's famous.

I don't think it is, but I can hope....just as I have from the first time I ever saw him. Never liked the guy, I always thought he was really homely and had only basic acting skills.
But Braveheart was an excellent movie, I just could've liked it every bit as much with a different lead in it.
