its people like you (us) that should go into scriptwriting

take a nice story, and then when there is 25 minutes to go in the movie, we turn it on its head and make an unforgettable epic.

Two reasons - you have watched too many; and the people who write them are not overly imaginative. Especially the latter. I hate it when I can guess what will happen in the end... too early, or too easy. That's why I prefer certain books - the clues are all there, but the ending still surprises, at least the first time through. And there are sub-plots to keep the book interesting to make it worth the while to read a couple of more times...

Most follow a formula.

I suggest watching a sample of whacked out japanese anime, you'll never guess the ending for some of them.

Becaus it's the Hollywood industry. It's the same culture, same writers, same audience, same industry. That's what I call a modern capitalist culture. And you're smart.

You are one of the chosen. I made everyone mad when I guessed the ending of The Sixth Sense. They swore that no one could do it and it was so obvious. Welcome to the club.

Maybe you've watched a lot of them already and they can't come with anything new... very sad.

Because you are perceptive, and they are predictable.
