Skipper a Clipper, at Akuna Bay, also part of Broken Bay, hire out houseboats. This place is about 45 min drive from the centre of Sydney. It is in a national park that is exceptionally beautiful. http://www.clippercruisers.com.au/
Luxury Afloat on the Hawkesbury River is about an hour north of Sydney http://www.luxuryafloat.org/history.html

Firstly if you're talking about Sydney, Australia, - its not a lake its a Harbour. Secondly, try "Manly" or "The Spit" bridge (thats what it's really called) or the Hawksbury River
