I've seen a few guys, who were total strangers to me, wink at me. I don't know if they were being friendly or what? What do you think? Any personal experience to share with me? Thanks.

They must think you are cute or that they know you. Respond in whatever way makes you comfortable.

It's like what the late and great movie star Mae West once said: "Is this a night club you're carrying under your trousers or is it your way of showing that you're friendly?" It all depends on the intentions. If he (or she) winks then maybe they want to pass a message or they have a nervous twitch. Judge and behave accordingly.

Either they are winking at U or have an issue with their contacts. Happens to me sometimes too.

I wink all the time a the women at work it's my way of saying hi in a flirty way no harm no foul just Hi. if I see them again I say Hi how you doing so far.and leave it at that.

they're being appreciative of how you look, I usually smile, if he's really cute I might blush, but then I walk on. If they are really interested they would come talk to me.

Just keep on walking would be my advice to you, mainly because you just don't know who they are and they may well be rapists or something like that!
