I returned home from work yesterday and found a Notice to Quit at my door. The notice is for non-payment of rent. I've had an automatic payment setup for a year, now this. When I renewed my lease I was told that I was all set and the rent would continue to be taken from a checking account. I received no telephone calls or messages. I will be talking with them this morning. My question is: Is there anything negative on my credit at this point?

If your account is set up for automatic withdrawl to you landlord that would have nothing to do whether you have a negative or positive credit point. Sounds like some wires are crossed, call your bank, and straighten them up. Tell them what is going on. Also call your landlord and get the scoup on whats going on and why they sent you a notice like that, let them know you talked with the bank. Good luck!

It shouldn't mark your credit report. But I would find out where your money has been going.
