Well I was very unpopular, I was bullied most of my high school years. Well I've improve, looking much better and big boost of confidence. Don't know what happen to my bullies. Maybe except one, who currently in jail for child pornography.

The factions in highschool hold no water outside and in real life. I have seen those people that were "popular" fall down a long hole of helplessness and end up doing nothing with their lives while those that were "unpopular" rise above and go beyond what was expected. I have also seen those people that were never friendly with each other in highschool suddenly become best friends later in life. It's because none of that factional stuff means anything in real life. High school is meant to prepare you for what is ahead in your life.
I was both popular and unpopular in high school. Towards the end, I didn't really care because I found myself with a group of friends that also didn't care what others thought about them. That attitude carried me to graduation.

Of the ones I know about, most of the unpopular ones went on to live comfortable lives and the popular ones ended up with very disconcerted lives.
Strange how it worked out.

surprisingly, some of the unpopular ones, (the quiet ones, the not-so-pretty ones, the chubby ones, the pimply ones, the not-so-brainy ones,) are the ones who landed great jobs, got a nice life, and got great looking mates.
some of the more popular ones led less exciting lives: divorced, bad jobs, not-so-great looking mates-- a bad life.
but there are always people in between: popular ones who made it great in life all the way; and not so popular ones who really had it bad.
the point being is that: popularity does not dictate the life you lead. beauty, money, and outgoing personality are not guarantees of success. success goes to those who strive for it, no matter the odds.

I went back 'home' after many years and I found out about some of them. The 'average' ones had 'average' lives, the criminals graduated to bigger crimes. The smart ones (don't know about 'popular') moved away and went to college. Some of them were popular and some weren't so popular, so I don't know based on that.

Most of the popular kids from high school are still living in my hometown (Tacoma, WA). They really haven't done much of anything with their lives except get married and have kids. They aren't rich either.
The unpopular kids joined the military, or wound up going to college and now make more money than the popular kids.
The ones in-between, or simply infamous and feared ones like myself, are neither rich nor poor. Most of us have cleaned up from the stoners and hippies we were to become something...different. Some of us wound up dead, or in jail...but many of us joined the military or got married to it. I did the latter.
