Depends on what ski slope you're visiting. The slope may be open that early, but unless we've been hit with a really early winter, they'll be using man made snow. It also depends on how cold it is. Early november is a hit or miss up here. End of november or beginning of december would be a better bet on good snow for skiing. But like I said it also depends on what ski slope and how tall their mountains are. The taller the mountain the earlier the snow.

If it has been cold enough, they will have man made snow. I am from Maine, i have seen it 80 in early november, and I have seen 2 feet of snow. Its possible they may have a few trails open if its been cold, but a good rule of thumb is thanksgiving generaly begins the early part of ski season

could be but everything is different each year. Also they could make snow for the slopes. Stowe is wonderful. I went last October. It was really nice, very tourist friendly, We had gone to Ben& Jerry's factory and it was a blast to see the grave yard there of flavors that didn't make it.
