I thought there were laws now where you can charge people for spam? How would you do it...would you have to get their IP addresses? Is there a service that tracks these guys down and split the money you would charge spammers?

Some people have tried it. There have been a few cases where the company spamming was identified and successfully sued for sending unsolicited mail.

If you obtained the IP addresses you probably wouldn't have much success. Most spam originates in the Far East. China and Korea are favorites. It is sent out by people who are paid a pittance by organisations who are generally not traceable.

If you think that there is a honeypot of easy money just waiting for the courts to award it to you, then you need to be in a place where the judge sits on a cloud and sings cuckoo.

Yes, you can get money from SPAM, depending on what you spam for. For instance if you spam for Paypal or EBay or any Bank with Online Access, i mean to access the account online and transfer money from it to another account. Many spammers do this job for cashing out the money from Credit Cards, for example if they get your Credit Card information they will clone your card and cashout the money. So never enter your personal information on Email Message, even if they claim to be the company of what they spam for.

The spammers may be charged with a crime, but I don't think you,as the victim, get to charge them money.
