Contact business eye, they should be able to point you in the direction of a "free at point of use" business adviser who can assist.
Use the data collected by the firm you intend to buy as some of the background and historical, if this information is not forthcoming from the current owners I would query WHY? big time.

As well as trying the internet and public library, you could try viewing and available (free or extract) from market analysts such as IDC, Gartner etc.
Also try business support organisitions - they may be able to direct you to useful sources (lsee link)

What kind of research are you wanting. Is it a survey that you could ask people yourself. Is it statistics that you could get from your library.
Your request for Market research is a bit vague and open to LOTS of option. Please delete this question and ask a more specific, or better yet, give me 10 points and ask another question

well the thing that is in cybersapce or intenet is the only thing you will find by your self but if you want anybody else to know about this well is gonna be a hard thing to manage
