Why no, it doesn't affect me, he is a fantastic actor who believe it or not happens to be human. If you had gotten drunk and said stupid stuff you really didn't mean(or maybe you did mean) it wouldn't matter, you know why. Because you are not famous, no body knows who you are or what you do or even gives an damn. Aren't we lucky that we(the general pop.) can get drunk, take a piss, spill our guts, fall off a bar stool, sing really bad karaoke in bars, and generally screw up without the media having a camera shoved up our collective asses to be sure the whole world see us every time we screw up!!!
Uh, excuse me Gadby, The Patriot wasn't a "poke" at you English, it was about us Americans fighting for and winning our freedom. which We really wanted to do.

I do hope so because this is not the first time that he has had a bigoted rant, his views affect many and there are many other more deserving people who could step into any vacancy he leaves. Why wait for another outburst? Don't feel to sorry for Melanie - he has enough money to live a life of luxury in the Kingdom of Mel - Malibu.
Gibson has a sick and twisted view of the World at large. I don't think that he should have the opportunity to spread his particular brand of hatred. Pity that he calls himself a Christian; still I guess he can get absolution from his priest and will demand that it is given from Hollywood. But it would be nice, if just once, Hollywood did not give tacit approval to hatred - they glorify it enough in their films without taking it from fantasy to reality.

I liked some of Mels early work but he has outgrown his usefulness now and these comments about jews should be the nail in the cpffin of his career. He is loaded and he has done enough so it is only fair he should go away now!

It should be. I'm sick of that man. He spent years being anti-British and a ranting religious right winger. Now he's shown his true colours as a complete Nazi. He makes me sick. I avoid all his films (never seen "Braveheart" I'm proud to say) and I hope a lot more people will begin to do the same. This nasty bigotted little **** needs to be put in his place.

No,Hollywood is run by Jews,if they think he can make them money,they will soon find an excuse for 'forgiving' him.He will probably have to take a cut in his fees,but thar's ok,the Jews will make more $$$$$.Btw.I do NOT condone his behaviour,it was shameful,but that's not the question you asked.

well you've hit a sore point with me there,the self opinionated Australian has been like it for a long while, for one i'am English, and he made brave heart,which had naff all to do with a raping pillaging Scot, which is historically what he was, then he made the patriot another dig at us English,then his no no about the life Christ, which because of the publicity put bums on seats, its about time the Americans sent the mouth back

Yes. He's old mature dude who knew what he was talking about not some drunk 15 year old. He's made enough money and don't need second chance. He should stop making films and spend his time reconciling.
