One of my daughters was approached by a teacher in her high school, and it was suggested she should cover up a bit for various reasons... my daughter was all angry and righteous at the time, but now - 2 years later - she's horrified that her bridesmaid's dress, chosen by the bride, is too revealing.

It just proves to me that school-aged kids are unlikely to understand the consequences of dressing like they're in an ad for condoms, one of which is being a target for sexual barbs from both male and female peers.

And I keep hearing the highschool girls call each other "ho" behind their backs because of the way the other is dressed... yet they can't see themselves through another's eyes.

A good idea would be to provide classes with a program showing real kids in different modes of dress, and have the students all vote on what they think is appropriate. Sometimes it's easier for them to see how clothing styles look on someone who's not built like an anorexic skeleton in order to make a personal choice.

If the cleavage is from here to the other side of the world,I think it should be banned or at least looked down upon. That's just trashy.

I dont think its appropriate for young girls to be low cut shirts. Some girls develop at an early age and i have seen 12 year olds with there cleaveage showing. I think it should be banned.

Yes, I do. There's self-expression, but kids today are taking it too far. It's distracting to male students, such as myself. And looking like a slut is nothing to be proud of.
