If you've also had a do-it-yourself outside wedding, what was your experience. if you could go back in time, would you just go to a wedding hall where everything is taken care of?
It seems cheaper, but i'm just starting to see that it's a looooot of work. Also, I'm very creative, so coming up with the details doesn't bother me...it's just the time that goes in them that seems uffff!

My second marriage.

Outside, at a friends lake house.
We did so very inexpensive.

Canopy tent rental, platic runner for the bride to walk down.
You can get a lot of stuff from a dollar store that really keeps the expenses down, but look nice.
Table covering, candle & candle holders for each table, glitter, decorations...etc.

Only problems were wind issues, such as keeping candles lit.

Of course, you'll want to have a rain plan.

Wedding is a cash words for vendors.
Annoucements, cakes, thank you notes, this, that, the other, all way over priced as wedding specific., IMO.

My wife even put together her own flower assemblies at 1/10 the cost of a professional, and they looked great. Something for the ladies to do the night before. It helps to direct that nervous energy.
