Definitely everyone has the potential to remain loyal - it takes strength and inclination to maintain this state throughout the course of a relationship. A person will only continue to be loyal if they feel it is beneficial for them to do so, the other person needs to seem as if they are being loyal too, otherwise it will all fall down.

Everyone can be loyal in a relationship if they wanted to and if they were with the right person

Yes. People can be loyal in a relationship if they set their hearts to it and say "I love this person, this is why I am in this relationship". "I will honor this person by not going out on them" "I will make this vow to my own hurt to be loyal to this person, I love them that much!"
If people would just consider theses things and more, than there would be more loyalty in relationships.

Define loyalty, "in" a relationship.

Do you mean faithful as in fidelity or Loyal as in a broader sense committed to truth in communication and the continuity of the interaction?

Either way I feel that loyalty is a personal choice; possibly a character trait after a period of consistency.

They should be unless the bounds of the relationship are well understood to be a "free" relationship. Although these rarely make any long time commitment hold.

Yes, but I believe that love is just a state of mind and maybe a man just fell in love with a woman because of the "state of mind" thing.

ya definitely. If u r faithful to anyone then he/she will be.
But this is not always the case, this actually depends on the character of a person.
The biggest thing is that u should understand the feelings of that person, his views.
