The saying is actually both "colder than a witches tit" which is in reference to a witch being cold, heartless and unfeeling implying they are less than human. "hotter than a witches tit" is in reference to witches performing rituals around a fire nude which if you have stood next to a fire needs no further explanation. The word "teet" implies several meaning more than two and is usually used in conjunction with animals, it is also a dialectic/regional pronunciation. The usage of the phrase is dependent again on region.

No offense taken. Honey, the term, I believe, is COLDER than a witches teet. And yes, teet, not tit. Wierd, but flow with me here. I'm not exactly sure where it originates, but in shows and stuff, it tends to be a Scottish man that says it. Hope I helped!

Actually, I think the phase is "colder than a witches tit in a brass bra." Not sure about the origins but try these links.

Yes, it is "colder" and I think because a witch is supposed to be cold and heartless. However, my friends and I came up with another saying to compliment that one, which is "Hotter then a warlock's thousand degree urethra." Enjoy! ^_^
