Nipple stimulation
Blue and black cohosh
Spicy food
Castor oil
Sex
Walk
Eggplant Parmesan
Evening Primrose Oil and Red Raspberry Leaf Tea
Acupressure/Acupuncture (There are two points on your body that will cause uterine contractions. They are always warned against during pregnancy, though they are widely believed to be another labor inducing method that will not work if you are not already ready to deliver. These points are about four finger-widths above the inner ankle on your calf, and in the webbing between your thumb and forefinger. You will know when you've found the spot because it will be very sore. You rub your calf, or pinch the webbing on your hand, in a circular motion for 30-60 second at a time, taking 1-2 minute breaks in between. )

1. Walk, walk, walk, walk, walk.
2. Eat fresh pineapple.
3. Sex
4. Walk some more.
5. Reflexology / massage has been known to kick start things (make sure you go to someone who is licensed and knows what to do and what not to do with pregnant women).
6. Spicy food.
Better to avoid castor oil, many midwives advise against it, as it can just give you horrible cramps with no labour at the end - last thing you need!

I tried every thing. Fresh pineapple, Raspberry leaf tea which I was told by my midwife after I had my baby you are meant to drink it until it makes you sick as the stomach muscles contracting with being sick starts of your labour. I even had a sweep done and that still didn't work. They are happy where they are. All the best. Don't do Castor oil BAD BAD BAD BAD. yuck!!!!!

Drink castor oil. It worked for me! Taste's vile and you will probably get the runs and throw your guts up. Sex also works and eating food or having a hot bath

I have 3 kids and when i was overdue with 2 of them i took Castor oil. It worked but my god it wasn't without its problems. It makes you go to the loo big time. That's apparently how it starts labour off. some thing to do with contracting muscles. however i had problems both times and honestly believe it was because of taking it ,so if anyone recommends it dont go there.

here are some things I've heard women say they have tried with success: -
caster oil - drank a whole bottle mixed with orange juice to help take the taste away
sex - proven as sperm contain prostogen which is what the medics use if they induce labour
either way your labour will only start if the baby is ready to come.

i also took castor oil with my first 3 children, with my 4th i couldnt bring myself to do it,as the thought of sitting on the toilet and ending up with a bum as red as a babboons, put me off, so instead i peirced 2 evening primrose oil capsules, and while lying down insert them inside yourself, it supposed to soften your cervix, also i was drinking the raspberry leaf tea(about 7 mugs a day) dont know if any of them helped but i had my healthy son 4 days later, i got the idea of the capsules off the internet, hope all goes well and good luck :-)

go for a long walk (at least 2 miles) if you can manage it
walking down 5 flights of stairs worked for me - i took the lift to the top floor of the hospital then walked all the back to the ground floor, did this for a few times and things started happening, my show came away then 12 hrs later my waters went 8 hrs later my daughter came along!

Spicy food does'nt work, i craved it for my last 3 months and my son was still over due. I honestly don't know if you can. There are alot of old wives tales on this subject, hav'nt heard anyone say if they work.
The only thing i do know is that if your are having contractions, mid wives tell you to walk so that gravity will take over helping to bring the baby down.x.x.x.x.x.x.x
