My wife is pregnant and we both want the baby to have eyes like mine (bright piercing blue). Is there a chemical we can feed her or the baby to make this happen?

No there isn't and you shouldnt be thinking along the lines of forcing your partner to ingest anything that may harm the baby, I hope to goodness this question is a little bit of a wind-up! The colour of the baby's eyes will be determined by genetics and there's nothing you can do. the baby will be born with dark blue eyes, this is normal for all baby's and within a few weeks the colour gradually changes to their final colour

If you both have blue eyes, your baby will probably have blue eyes. If your wife has brown eyes, the baby will have brown, as brown is dominant over blue. I'm not sure what happens with green. I hope you both enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and have a beautiful wee child at the end of it :)

There's nothing to do about this, it's purely down to genetics and unfortunately for you, the stronger gene in the case of eye colour is the darker colour so if your wife has brown eyes, the baby has more chances of inheriting her eyes than yours.

This isn't like dyeing eggs! Eye color is genetic. Blue eye color (I believe) is recessive, so depending on your wife's eye color, you might not get your wish. BTW, newborn babies' eyes are often blue at birth then change over time. So you won't really know what you have until a few months after the birth.

No,Your childs eye colour cannot be changed, are you serious?
I have green eyes and my hubby has grey.our son had brown eyes and our daughter blue.I can't believe you are so shallow, surley the most important thing is that the baby is healthy and not what it's eyes look like, all babies are born with blue eyes anyway so they may change after a few weeks anyway!

Why dont u ask your mother which chemical she injected to make ur eyes blue! C'mon be real dude, whatever color your baby gonna have its only will be genetic & natural... Accept the way its meant to be.

Just keep your fingers crossed. Did you know that the blue eyes are recessive so you might not get your wish. I have those eyes too and I think mystics and serial killers have eyes like that!

the blue eye gene is recessive.... therefore if your wife has brownish eyes she has the dominant gene and will cancel out the blue eye gene.

Theres a 1 in four chance your daughter will have blue eyes (if your wife has the blue eye allele in her DNA)

Got any good luck charms?

Oh yeah and your crazy

dont be stupid. you dont think much of the baby if you are wanting to feed your wife a chemical. all that matters is that the baby is alive and well. idiot

no, you're stuck with whatever color the baby's genes determine. it would help to know what color your wife's eyes are. for example, mine are a hazel blue/grey and my ex husbands were brown. all 3 of my children had brown eyes because brown eyes are dominant over my hazel eyes.
