Of course it will.
Blimey, they invaded Grenada and that was a part of The Commonwealth !
They are scared of anybody, any nation, any religion, any system that is different from their own,so yes, they will start trouble with Cuba.
Where there is a profit to be made and innocent men, women and children to be killed, you will find america.
The under educated and mis-informed `we`re fighting for democracy and freedom` population of america will ensure that it happens. They shout louder and louder as their own free will is eroded by their nations propoganda.
The political elite of usa will cause a situation to arise where the dumb believers will bay for action creating a `something must be done` situation that will appease the `do gooders` and garner their support.

Yes it will happen.

You mark my words.

Surely "we" will!

I can't see George passing over a chance like this! He can do what Ike, JFK, and Johnson all failed to do, and he can do it like a World Class Punk just like he's done everything else so far. Kick a man while he's down and almost out, just like he did his dad's one-time "best buddy in the Mid East," Saddam Hussein. (How much do you want to bet Saddam would have been dead by natural causes within the next year or two anyways? That's why there was such a rush. Grab the cash and oil before the old boy croaks. Otherwise, we have no pretext at all for going in, not even any of the fake excuses we used this time.)

Personally, I hope Bush does invade and conquer Cuba. Hopefully, it will become a haven for his cronies, the Cream of the Crop of tax-dodging Elitists, and they'll swarm to the place like maggots on putrid roadkill. Then, hopefully, the godless commies will take it back over and do what they will with the Thieving Rat Bastards. Wouldn't that be a Truly Great Day for America?

It's a thought...

Very unlikely. Bush will settle back and wait for Castro to die and see what happens. He cannot afford any more negative publicity on the world stage or the effect any failed attempt would have on his ratings. While Cuba may be a Communist country and Fidel a dictator it should be remembered that they have one of the best education systems (free) and an excellent health system (again free). Could the poor of Cuba expect the same under a Bush installed government. Do the poor of America have the above?

Why do you assume that the USA is about to start trouble with Cuba? Because Fidel is medically indisposed at the moment?

What trouble to you anticipate we would care to cause? At least at this point in time.

I'll give you this.....It will be some time still, before we forget the fact that the Castro regime allowed the placement of Soviet nuclear missiles on Cuba soil only 90 miles away from US soil. Perhaps political and trade policies will improve when Fidel has completed his "domination"of Cuba; and by that I mean when he dies of natural causes.

The Cuban government is raising this fear to keep the people in line. If fear of a US invasion is strong enough then the people will support the government rather than revolt against it.

By raising fears of an attack by the US the Cuban government is hoping to avoid a revolution from within. The odd thing is that the Castros are just too all over themselves to realize that most would probably welcome a US invasion. That way they could trade in their 1957 Chevys for newer models.

Yes. Cuba is scary! They have that scary guy Castro. They have a scary form of government, communism. We don't know much about them except they are friends with those other scary places like Russia, Venzuela, and Iran. We must bomb them. Bomb them all. We must free the people from the scariness of it all.
