i want to get one and my man does not approve?? is it really that trashy looking??

I have one, and no it's not trashy, the people who judge solely on how you look are. "Trashy " is portrayed in how you ACT and carry yourself.
I get jobs, got into uni. It's your attitude and personality not anything else. My friends and family don't even notice it.
Whoever judges you on a piece of metal on your nose, are shallow/ignorant/have nothing else better to do/metal phobic. Basically lowest common denominators. Now, how stupid does that sound???
It's up to you with what you want!
BE yourself, as long as it doesn't hurt anybody along the way...screw the rest who can't accept you. Ie, your guy will get over it.

A small stud in nose doesn't look that bad , but a ring in the middle of the nose makes me think of a bull . Your mate might try to put a leash on it a lead you around lol .

I agree with litespeed2rw. I think an elegant stud looks great, but not a hoop. But it also depends on if you have the nose for it. Finally, depending on the nature of your relationship with your "man," you want to look good for that person. If he doesn't think it looks good...well as an example, my wife is the love of my life and if she though an earring didn't look good, I wouldn't do it because I look good for her. But if you don't think he's worth not doing it for then do what you want. Again, I recommend a stud. Very stylish.

I really do think so. I think it looks absolutely awful in our culture, but that's just me.
Also, what if you decide to get rid of it? What happens to the hole? Are you stuck with it for the next sixty years, or however much longer you live?
How do you blow your nose???
Is it possible to try a "fake" nose ring - an "unpierced" version - just to see what it's like? Maybe you will get tired of it, or you will decide it's really for you. But try it out first, before you mutilate your face for life.

It looks on some girls. I don't think it makes you look trashy. I think your look determines if it fits you or not. I USED to have one. Good luck in your decision!

A small stud in nostril does not appear that dangerous , however a hoop within the core of the nostril makes me consider of a bull . Your mate could attempt to positioned a leash on it a lead you round lol .

nope its not that nose rings look trashy but it doesn`t suit all faces....for few it looks just perfect but not necessarily on all gals!

i think it depends on your nose if it is a small one i don't think it ill look too bad but if it sorta big it will just attract more attention to it and make it probably look bigger,
and i think it also depends on the nose ring..
