No, this principle is not backward. It is timeless. Think about what happens if you don't follow it. Eventually, that third party enters the picture, or there's a breakup, and hearts get broken, right? There's a reason for that: the people in question have found out the hard way - too late - that this kind of thing is not supposed to happen once you've had sex.

Permanent, exclusive relationships do not happen by chance - you have to enter them very intentionally and deliberately if you want the relationship to last. You take full responsibility for your actions and decisions, put each other first, make a permanent commitment, and then become one physically (and not only) - in that order.

And then what happens? Well, you of course can't control the other person, but what you have done by making that intention before taking the plunge, is that you have spared yourself a lot of temptations - your eyes will be focused on fulfilling your vows, working on the relationship to make it good and lasting.

And your partner has presumably done this as well. But if, God forbid, your partner doesn't keep their vows, then at least you have a clear conscience. If they go as far as to run off with someone else and marry them, then you are definitely free.

But I think we can see from this that it's really better to think before you act, and really go into a sexual relationship with intention. You show respect to yourself and your partner, not to mention to the God who joins you together.

it true, but you know someone theat want divorce you 4 time for last 8 months of new wedding??? is that right thing for person know my weakness? know my fear??? to over power me? want to have family but we aruge every day. I will not will not be married to that woman for my life time. and She leave me out be around her mom and dad and bro? I am always sitting there try to talk and she have so much to talk about and Leave me out and I am not part of family??? She made me lose all my friend why becasue she don't trust them and not even trust me??? wow, living hell so I divorce and find someone 2nd marriage and glad I did and now it been 9 years of marriage and 2 kids and 3rd on the way in march 2007.. She trust me and I trust her and she had me involve with her family and on and on and on....

I will never ever find women who will be virgain.... all women I met already had sex.. but I don't care I love this woman so much that she everything to me... we all make mistake, and Yeah we were not taugh by parents the right way. the Church sure teach you different what bible said. So hard for me to believe. But most of all we do believe god and jesus. but plm is that we make sin all the time and I don't know how to pray.. and Long I teach my family great values to this family.

Things change, My grandma married to my grandpa for many many years and she very christain and she always treat me wonderful person. when Grandpa died before I was born and she never remarried. until that day she passed away she now with my grandfather. But that how I feel with my wife now.

No one sit down and explain marriage is about or what it do and how it works or stuff like that. most people want to get married because they love each other but never talk about it or what if I lost my leg still love me or what if... those things all of them never talked about it. But my wife and I talk aboiut it alot and knowing that we do love eachother alot and no matter what happen smiling.

i dont know i think ppl shud make up ther own minds if they want to have sex aslong as ther over 16 then it should be ok because that is the law..
and i think the only reason there is divorce soona fter marriage is because they just want that fantasy wedding but they hardly even no th person think before you do anything like this that will change your life xxx

I think the ideas of the old world were ideally suited to the era, regarding the downfallf of the time, ie: racism. In the evolution of ideas we see that ideas must change to suit the whole. I do think that you should know what your getting into.
You should spend some nights together you dont' have to have sex. Living together would be good too.
