Unfortunately this would result in Civil War between the different factions. The Kurds would try and defend their semi-autonomous state in the North. The Shias would try to secure central and southern Iraq and the Sunni's would attempt to restore a Saddam-type rule. There would be chaos and greater loss of life.
One possible answer could be an Arab League sponsored move to a peaceful Federal Iraq.

There would be wholesale slaughter, decapitations, and total chaos. Iran would send people in, and we would have a mid east terror state. Women would loose their rights, and the terrorists would have won.
I hate war, but now that we stepped in this, we can't leave. Another fine mess GW Bush and his puppet government got us in to.
