I've always heard. Old people and others have always told me that.
Why do people like of the worst first?

I moved to a small town, everyone knows eachother. It usually takes one person to remember one bad thing that somene has done wrong, then everybody else does'nt like that person either, i personally don't understand it! Maybe they have nothing better to do and cant make their own decisions about people. I have lived in a few places but have never experienced such negativity. I wish that people could just be nice, we all make mistakes at times!

It also happens in the working world. A service provider can do alot of good things in a month but they will be penalised & remembered forever by one worst moment in that month.
I guess itz individual mindset. If they choose to be forgiving, they can forget about the worst moment. If they choose to be narrow minded, then all bad moments will be remembered.

People have a tendency to dwell on the negatives.
Look at celebrities... they can live their lives and go about their business and support charities and whatnot... but the first time they screw up, that will always be on the public's minds!

people hardly ever remember the good its always the bad that sticks to mind,everyone makes mistakes but we are not our mistakes and should never be judged on one single moment of our lives.

Because people are incredibly narrow minded and always looking for the bad in people so they can feel better and more superior about themselves.

i guess it gives them something to talk about....i do not really know...i think a person should look at the good in people if they can...now adays though there is so many cruel people in the world anyway....it is definitely hard to trust people in this world anymore...you can not do like you use to do...even real friends are hard to find...

it all depends on if your glass is half full. everybody goes through some crap but it doesn't mean you can't come out better than you started. old people are pessimists.
