Actually, cow flatulence does have a mild effect on the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere...but they are much larger creatures and thus their flatus is vastly more voluminous that that of a human. Human flatus does contribute a minute amount of methane to the atmosphere, but when compared to the combined output of larger creatures, our contribution is not significant. We are having a more significant impact by burning fossil fuels.

Yes.. we have an air purifier for my son who suffers badly from hay fever it shows a different colour light if there is a pollutant in the air and I'm afraid farts register.

Considering it is methane i would say yes. It depends on the quantities though. If you were locked in a sealed lift with limited oxygen and 15 people farted, i guess it would be lethal.

The "gaseous" emmitions from animals can contribute to global warming it is methane after all. If we just stuck to farming and didnt use fossil fuels the actual contibution is negligible but combined togeather it is a problem
