Hi,
One of my friend is facing a typical problem.
My friend and his wife are seperated for more than nearly 2 years.
He wants his wife to comeback..But she never comes back.
She hasnot repsonded all this time. Or even she is not responding legally for a divorce or something like that.
In this situation what should be done ??

unfortunately for your friend, he loves a woman that doesnt love him back.. something unfortunately he is going to have to come to terms with.. it took me almost 7 years to get over my husband leaving me, and realizing that the man i loved wasnt the same man that he is today.. so i had to view it as that i am a widow more then divorced.. the man i loved would have never put me and our children through all the pain that he caused.. some people it takes along time to get over the pain of divorce.. some its rather quickly.. so ur friend is going to have to just run his course.. till he to realizes that she is no longer who he loves..

Even though she isn't responding to the divorce summons, the divorce should go through as a default. Once that is completed she will either come back, or you will take your buddy out and get him laid.

He can force her hand by filling for a divorce himself... if she doesn't sign after so long he'll get it any way- this prompt her to come around or at least set him free to find someone who will be good to him.

sounds to me like she doesn't want a divorce... but she doesn't want to be with him either I know it hurts to let go of someone you love especially when you can see away to make it work but sometimes the most loving thing we can do is just let them go.

3 years of deliberate separation must be enough of a reason for an automatic divorce. (Depending on the relevant laws of the State your friend resides in)

And I not only pity but get disgusted at men who beg their wives to return.. Ain't they got any dignity or soemthing?

Sounds like she doesn't want to come back OR really want a divorce...

Perhaps he should see a solicitor and discuss what to do when the other party is uncontactable... Does he know where she is???

Tell him to move on.
He's done something to her that he hasn't told you.
If you love someone enuff to marry them and something happens after two years and no response. It's over.
Tell him to apologize and move on.
Take him out to meet new people.

He needs to speak to an attorney. They can advise him what to do next. He obviously needs to be rid of all ties to this woman.
