There aren't any subtle ways.... that work. I mean... seriously..any "little" test you do can easily be misinterpreted. Next time they hang out... try to hang out with them. If your brother tells you to leave.... ask his friend if he wants you to leave. If he says yes.... haha then thats a good clue that he doesn't like you. If he says no... then stay...hang out..and try to get close to him. Give him your attention..and see how he responds. I'm sure you can figure it out from there.
