The best way is to be able to talk to that person if they are willing. Maybe you could call after a month or two and tell them you just need to talk and resolve some issues. Let them know you are not there to judge them or argue. Another way would be to see if they would write to you. If you can't get it from the individual, you need to give it to yourself. Write down your feelings in a journal. Maybe you will never find out why they left you. For whatever reasons, it has nothing to do with you. It is a choice that person made. Find happiness in yourself, with yourself and you will move on. Before you know it you will have another love in your life and you will be wondering what you ever saw in that other person.

By living a happier better life, and always taking the high road, and having pride in the fact that u know u did everything the right way and obviously the other person has issues.. and knowing that what goes around eventually comes around.. so they'll get their misery eventually..

There must be a reason why this person decided to leave. The only way to put closure to this is ask this person what caused them to leave the relationship...

Accept that apparently you were the one doing the right things. You did your best, you did what was right, so this is fate's way of working your life out for you. Consider it surgery: sometimes it takes a massive cut to heal us. Fate saw that you needed this person out of your life (contrary to what you may currently believe) so it just worked out that way. Also, loving someone means wanting what makes THEM happy, even if their happiness EXcludes you. Time for you to let time heal your wounds, & eventually move on to someone whose happiness INcludes you as much as yours includes them.

Oh come on! you don't need another person to help you find "The Closer." It's a hit show! I think it's on NBC! Check your local listings and find the remote yourself!

if the other person walked away it was not love, not to hurt you, but just think that there are other people that can love you better

Life is full of hardships, but Jesus says,"I have overcome the world", so just pray for His grace and strength to carry you through this difficult time in your life.

Leave it alone. They walked. Closure will come naturally.
Ignore them. Engulf yourself in something/someone else.
Friends, family, find something to do.

Once you let go they will start coming back. When they come back, slam the door in their face. Now you have closure!
