Would you live on a man-made, reclaimed land island?

Like the one in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. There has been a setback because some 'new' land sunk. Would you feel safe living in such a place & why. Or, why wouldn't you?

I live in Dubai and i would never live in a man made island, you cannot defy nature one day it will rise up and swallow you.
First of all the island has come from the sand, and hence its very cre existance is a disaster.
