I would say resign X 10.
Cheaper - it's pretty cheap now, and I don't mean costs.
Cleaner - if you want a cleaner UK then the people have to want it. No government can stop you throwing your MacDonalds containers wherever you please.
Safer - easy answer: lock up your daughters. Get a sense of community. Middle-class, middle-aged women peaking through their lace curtains (Neighbourhood watch) won't solve much. Talk to your neighbours, even if they aren't the same religion, or don't stay away from the same religion as you.
Less overcrowded: there's a hell of lot of space in the UK, but they don't all have take-aways at the end of the telephone line. The UK isn't overcrowded, it's just that everyone seems to want the conveniences of living in town even when they're out in the Styx.
This is all very ego-centric.
To make the UK great again, the government has to drop the USA. Future lies in Europe. Letting the USA dictate what happens in the world and dragging the UK along with it is like letting the child swallow the parents.
We Brits are better than this. We've already alienated 2% of the population (the Muslims) by Kow-towing to the USA.
Let me put it this way: The UK hasn't adopted the Euro. The £ is on its way out. If there were a referendum tomorrow, what would you vote for, the Euro or the US$?
It really comes down to that.

Er... how about:

Sending children back up chimneys or down the mines. (Lower overheads and no safety laws so saves money)

Disallow the vote for working class men and for women. (The male middle and upper classes know what's best for us, since they gave us the Empire).

Bring back the "Ragged Schools" and start work at 10 yrs old. (Saves money on educating the great unwashed).

Make sure there's no contraception available so that women spend all their lives bearing up to 20 children, if they don't die first.

Work the working classes to death by the age of forty in filthy, unsafe conditions for 12 hours a day 6 days a week. (less overcrowding).

Absolutely NO welfare state - then those that aren't fit enough to survive will die, leaving more space and resources for the rest. (However, sometimes the fittest aren't necessarily the most intelligent).

1 - No VAT on books and £20 per year of free book tokens to every child aged 3-16.
2 - Improvements to prison service to reform rather than punish offenders.
3 - Young offenders can reduce punishment for non-violent crimes by spending time talkin to loney old people. Thus the old can teach the young better behaviour and the young can give the old companionship and purpose.
4 - Stop all this Political Correctness lark - it's getting silly. If someone delibaratly offends someone or discriminates then just have a fine and if someone accidentally causes offence (like by calling a man blind rather than visually impaired, or calls a woman white rather than caucasian) then people should be less easily offended. Also make blatant racist videos, books and so on more expensive - if someone wants to watch a bigoted Jim Davidson DVD then they should have to pay £5 tax which will go to hospitals and schools.
5 - Reduce beaurocracy in then NHS. Keep it simple, sensible, and effective.
6 - Better sex education in schools. Teenage pregnancy is too high and this need not be so. My school was good with this and I can't see why other schools cannot do the same.
7 - Maximum wealth law. A new tax on the super-rich. Anyone with over £50,000,000 in assets has to spend a further 10% of their income on local projects to help schools, hospitals, the elderly etc. Those who have over £100,000,000 have to do 20% and so on.
8 - +2p per litre petrol for private users in urban areas - this money to subsidise public transport.
9 - Local market monopoly laws - basically if a supermarket is killing local stores it should pay a specialtax to help local shop keepers compete.
10 - More effort should be made to integrate immigrants into mainstream society and thus help keep communities united promote cultural understanding.

I hope you think my suggestions to be viable and sensible.

Work more closely with our European colleagues
Re-nationalise Water
Re-nationalise Rail
Keep the NHS is public hands rather than letting private businesses hive sections off
Have a policy to increase access to NHS dentistry
Find a way in which foreign, right wing newspaper editors such as Murdoch can be controlled so that their influence over internal politics can be kept in check.
Recognise the importance of public workers such as teachers, nurses, doctors, fire fighters etc and pay them better. If this means increasing tax for the overpaid in Industry then do it.
Take the problem of environmental damage and climate change seriously and do something.
Address anti-social and racist behaviour and look for solutions. Why are we so much worse than many of our European neighbours.
Why has this question flushed out so much right wing tosh?

Treat pensioners like human beings- we all get old.
Employ politicians who can do the job they are given; whey have a man who cant drive in charge of Transport??? or a guy who went to Eton in charge of educating kids in slums
Anyone who wants to be minister for Pensions and Benefits should have to live on benefits ( and NOTHING else) for a minimum of 2 years.
Make councillors, ministers and MP s accountable- when they **** it up, dont give them a million pound handshake; sack the bastards
All public transport should be free
Stop firms charging what they like in interest- like 45% etc.
If a person has not paid into the Social system in this country by taxes etc for over 5 years, they dont get benefits, whether they are English or foreigners or refugees.
Bring back hanging for killers of children, firemen, policemen.
Make the Royals pay for all the upkeep on their palaces and country homes. and live off their own incomes. They are parasites bleeding this country dry while they have billions in property and investments and jewellery, race horses, etc.
Stop Water and other utility companies from treating the workers as a piggybank where they can shove their snouts at will. Too much water wasted?? Sack them.
Make national insurance money be for hospitals and medical care, instead of paying for immigrants in hotels and buying flash cars for mps who can afford their own.

the one thing i would do to make the uk great again would be to bring back corporal punishment, not capital, the thing with our society now adays is that the kids just dont get enough punishment. if i was naughty as a child i got smacked, not punched or kicked but smacked.

i learnt my lesson and never did half of the stuff again.

my generation (21 year olds and under) are not being properly punished. and that includes through the schools, i remember in one lesson i had a boy kicked the crap out of my teacher, he got suspended for two days, he should have had the cane at least. it wouldnt have done him any harm
