its quite easy to explain.with stupid lazy people in charge of different country's each thinking only their answer or view is right.like bush,Blair,Hussein so on.instead of these plonkers causing wars then sending kids, teenagers, men,to do there fighting and getting killed, while they sit in the warm drinking tea in safe place.i think it bush,Blair,Hussein and so on should go into a field, boxing ring or any thing like that and do it them self's fight there own war,s and agenda's one on one no guns, army's just them fighting and let the rest of the world live in Peace

Interesting question and also what is a World War anyway? The whole world was not involved in either of the last two so how many countries need to jump in before it becomes WW3? The UN was formed to prevent further world wars - be interesting to see if they can come up with a solution for the current conflict in Israel and Lebanon..

Human race does not master the art (knowledge or skill) of economy of personal energy. This skill is better developed by animals and other living beings. They do not fight usually unnecessarily.
Human race is far, far behind of this achievement. Good economy of the personal and social energy requires, sensitivity, consciousness, independence and responsibility. These qualities can be developed only by investing additional effort in general education and achieving the real knowledge confirmed through the personal experience.

I think World War three is a possibility in the near future. In answer to your question as to why we don't learn from our mistakes i think it's because people now weren't alive then or those that were are dying off. Nobody remembers or understands how bad it would be and so are less cautious. Most people now don't even know when the war started or who was in it.

Yes we are, and i agree with donalexis that all is because of greed and the motives of countries who go to war. Some wanted to have war all over the planet so that they may be able to offer their defense expertise and equipments to a nation on war. War is 'business' and as such no lessons from the 2 WWars is applicable to the protagonists and their supporters.

if the human race had wanted to learn a lesson they wouldve learnt it from WW1.. anyway there are many reasons..
1. humans rarely learn from other ppls mistakes.. they prefer to learn from their own.
2. humans are too greedy, and obsessed with power.
3. if u dont kill then be ready to get killed.. its a jungle.. but animals in here wear suits

I dont think ww3 is gonna happen within the next 150 years or so. A war is expensive and it strikes the countries' economy, whichever country that is

Because humans are inherantly greedy and there will be always be a financially or territorialy driven motive to go to war and kill each other.
