If I am reading this correctly any time you start your laptop it gives you the menu of starting options; Safe Mode, Safe mode with networking, DOS Prompt, Start windows regularly, etc.

Since you have already tried using the restore disk you are left with only 2 options. You can try using your anti-virus boot disks to see if that boot the system and clean the virus. I personally have not had much luck with this.

Option 2 is to format the HD and install the operating system fresh.

Your problem here is one of 2 things. Either the HD has gone bad, which you should be able to see in the BIOS, or the system has a virus. IT is most likely the virus.

Well ....you said .....""From " F2 Set up menu " i tried to boot from the CD-Rom with the restore CD but still it prompt just the safe mode menu"" .There is 2 diff.problem here : first ur windows have a serios error and always get u into safe mode menu. And second if u cant boot from restore CD this could be a problem with Restore CD (solution :try a XP bootable instalation CD) ....or could be a hardware problem with ur optical drive(cdrom) . In this case try to boot from an external USB optical drive. Anyway if u wanna know more......
